PLANETWATCH Rome, air quality monitoring project

Production of an institutional video clip for PlanetWatch, a spin-off of CERN Geneva (European Organisation for Nuclear Research).

More than 99% of the world's population breathes air that exceeds WHO air quality guidelines.
Anna Lisa Mandorino of Cittadinanzattiva explains how PlanetWatch can raise community awareness and drive real change, aimed at improving air quality in Rome, one of the world's most congested cities.

The video clip, in English, is entirely shot in the Italian capital (the others were shot in Naples and Turin). It is in two parts: the first shows the unquestionable beauty of Rome but also its weaknesses due to the large tourist flows that cause traffic and consequently air pollution.
The music chosen has a strong emotional impact, the framing of the images has an alternating fast/slow rhythm and the background voice is very evocative.
The second part is dedicated to Planetwatch's project in recruiting Planetwatchers, the word goes directly to Annalisa Mandorino of Cittadinanzaattiva who addresses all citizens who care about protecting the air. She explains in a simple and clear way how to be an active part of a much-needed change of course to improve everyone's lives.
